The SEENET 2022 Annual General Meeting and Assembly took place in the special nature reserve of Deliblato Sands, Serbia, from the 5th to the 7th of August.
The where and the who
The members of five member organizations attended the meeting: Eko-svest (Macedonia), Center for the Environment (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Green Home (Montenegro), Association for Sustainable Development (Serbia) and Bird Study and Protection Society of Serbia.
The Agenda
The first day of the meeting was dedicated to the workshop “Assertive communication with a manipulator” led by Aleksandra Golubović, psychologist, psychotherapist of transactional analysis and certified coach of assertive communication. The goal of the workshop was to strengthen internal capacities and to point out the basics of communication with manipulators that members of the network often encounter. This workshop represents the continuation of the “Stay Safe and Speak Out” project, which aims to raise public awareness of the threats and pressures faced by environmental activists during their work.
The second day of the meeting was dedicated to the burning topic of energy with the help of Ognjan Pantic from Belgrade Open School. The main focus of the workshop was to discuss the current state of affairs in the energy sector of the Western Balkans, the writing of NECPs and the future of energy supply in the region.
The hot Saturday afternoon was spent on Bela Crkva lakes, where the attendees had the time to cool off and enjoy the beautiful nature of Banat.
